April Architectural Review Report

April 29, 2023

Report by phone from Jack Venable with emailed comments adding to transcription. Edited to a single report for the web.

  1. County is requiring the Gendrons (#76) to put in a perimeter foundation under the addition. Jack has the permit plans for Gendrons’ unit and proposed adding the information to the CW website.
  2. County has now changed building regulations to recognize that changes to buildings/roofs can cause discharges of snow onto other units and other people’s homes. They added an ordinance disallowing any new structures or alterations to any existing structure to discharge snow onto any other parcel or adjacent structure. This plays into one of the changes Fran added in the Architectural Review Doc. Since we are townhomes (real estate term), or actually zero-lot-line single family dwellings, that have a defined parcel and are independent self-supporting structures, this ordinance would apply to us. It would not include a discharge on the common parcel surrounding the building groups, unless for some reason there was a structure on the common parcel, such as a storage shed (Jack believes we still have four under HOA ownership). What already exists, exists, and the ordinance would not cover what already “is”, only what might be proposed in the future.
  3. No new requests for remodels from CW owners.

Will be updated with more to come…
