We’ll be burning piles at Carnelian Woods and adjacent California Tahoe Conservancy property next week January 6th to 9th. Cal-Fire will be carrying out the bulk of this operation. We’ll have a smaller team on Monday with more resources committed throughout the week. There are 38 total acres we’d like to burn. Piles are fairly wet however, so we’ll do the best we can.
This may be the last window before more snow arrives with winds are not predicted to follow. We’ll do our best to get smoke to lift and leave the basin each day, however, please be prepared for smoke to linger through next weekend.
