Slash Pile Burning Starts November 1

Unless something changes, North Tahoe Fire Department will be beginning the Carnelian Woods pile burning operation tomorrow, November 1^st. The goal is to ignite 70 acres, beginning with CTC property along Sudan Drive and moving into Carnelian Woods Townhomes and Agate Bay Water Properties to the east of Carnelian Woods Ave. On November 2^nd, depending on smoke, NTFD will work to ignite the remaining 44 acres of Carnelian Woods Townhomes property. Pile maintenance will take place on Friday to promote full consumption of any residual materials. Operations will not take place over the weekend, but may continue into the following week depending on conditions.
